Most of Cub Cadet’s serial numbers are 11 characters and can contain both numbers and letters - the format looks similar to this: 11AA111A111.  The tags are generally located in areas where they are unlikely to be damaged or worn. It's a good idea to snap a photo of your Cub Cadet model and serial number tag so it can be easily accessed when ordering parts. 

Walk-Behind Mowers - Model number will begin with 11 or 12

Model and serial number plate is located on the rear left side of the deck.

Lawn & Garden Tractors-Model number will begin with 13 or 14

Riding mower model and serial number plate is located on the underside of the seat.

Zero-Turn Mowers-Model number will begin with 17

Zero-turn model and serial number plate is located on the underside of the seat.

Two-Stage Snow Throwers - Model number will begin with 31

Two-stage snow thrower model and serial number plate is located on the frame cover, between the wheels.
